Monday, September 8, 2025
Monthly Town Board Meeting
at 7:00 pm at Town Hall
All Items on the agenda are listed for discussion and possible motion

Present:  Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors, Becky Meyer, Kathy Schwartz, Brandon Wilmot

  1. Call Meeting to order at 7:00 pm with Pledge of Allegiance. Chair, Chad Allen Called the Meeting to order at 7:00 pm
  2. Certify Open Meetings Law has been met in accordance with §985.02(2)(a). Clerk, Becky Meyer Certify Open Meetings Law has been met in accordance with §985.02(2)(a) with being placed on the Town Website and on the Town Hall Door.
  3. Adopt Agenda.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the September 8, 2025 agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.
  4. Approve minutes from previous meeting.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve the minutes from the August 2025 meeting with a few adjustments.  Motion carried unanimously.
  5. Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes. No one spoke
  6. Set date for closed session to Discuss and give employee review to Town Patrolman - 1 year anniversary - Proposed October 13.  Consensus by the Town Board to set the date of October 13 at the end of the meeting to conduct a closed session one year performance review of the Town Patrolman, Brandon Wilmot. 
  7. Discussion, Review and Set a public hearing date for the Emergency Management Resolution - Proposed October 13.  Consensus by the Town Board to set the date of October 13 for a public hearing for the proposed Emergency Management Resolution. 
  8. Discussion, Review and Set date for Preliminary 2026 Budget hearing - Proposed October 13.  The 2026 Budget was Discussed and Reviewed with some changes made to different categories.  Consensus by the Town Board to set the date of October 13 for the Preliminary 2026 Budget hearing and November 10 for the 2026 Budget hearing adoption. 
  9. Set date for Special Electors Meeting (approve Tax Levy for 2026) - Proposed November 10.  Consensus by the Town Board to set the date of November 10 to hold a Special Elector Meeting to approve the 2026 Tax Levy. 
  10. Set date for 2026 Budget Public Hearing - Proposed November 10.  Consensus by the Town Board to set November 10 for the 2026 Budget Public Hearing. 
  11. Request approval for Town Treasurer to have ABT Mailcom mail taxes and Town Notice.  Treasurer, Kathy Schwartz, is requesting approval to have ABT Mailcom mail the Town Notice along with the  2025 property tax bills.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve ABT Mailcom to mail the Town Notice with the 2025 Property Tax bills.  Motion carried unanimously.
  12. Request approval for Town Treasurer to reopen accounts at Reedsburg State Bank to receive Property tax Payments and Dog License fees.  Treasurer, Kathy Schwartz, is requesting approval to reopen accounts at Reedsburg State Bank to receive Property Tax Payments and Dog License fees.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve the reopening of accounts at Reedsburg State Bank to receive Property Tax Payments and Dog License fees.  Motion carried unanimously.
  13. Highway Report - Brandon Wilmot
    1. Road Report – The County paved over the Herritz Rd Culverts.  Thieman Hill will be paved the end of this month by Scotts and same with Eagle Ridge Ct.
    2. Driveway Permits - None
    3. Other comments – Attended WISLR rating on Thursday, August 14th in De Forest.  Was a lot of good information.
  14. Chairman / Supervisor Reports and comments
    1. Supervisor II - Terri Connors – Nothing to report
    2. Supervisor I - Rebecca Klitzke – David Gade expressed a concern about some fill on the North side of his driveway which is in the Road Right of Way. WTA Unit Meeting in LaValle.  Also attended the Planning and Zoning meeting.
    3. Chair - Chad Allen – New boom mower was picked up and an invoice was sent for $40,000 instead of the $34,800.  The invoice was paid incorrectly.

    1. Assessor (Holloway Appraisal) Report - Nothing noted. 
    2. Building Inspector (GEC) Report.
      1. Randall Goodman @ E5527 County Rd S for Electric work
      2. David Allen @ E6591A Klitzke Dr for a Modular Home
      3. Albert Fuhrman @ E5857 County Rd K for Garage.
    3. Monthly Vouchers - AP QuickBooks reports were emailed.  Motion by Connors / Klitzke to pay the monthly vouchers. Motion carried unanimously.

  1. Treasures Report - Kathy Schwartz
    1. Deposits (Checks and Cash)- $5320 ($100 - hall rent, etc., $20 - Special Assessment letters, $5,200 Refund from Johnson Tractor for Boom Mower) 
    2. ACH Deposits - $72557.28 for August Settlement
    3. Review Calendar Dates
      1. Plan Commission - October 13, November 10 & December 8 if there is anything for the agenda.
      2. Town Board - October 13, November 10 & December 8.
      3. Hall Rentals (DOT & 4H Club).
    1. Other comments – Nothing
  1. Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting). Nothing
  2. Adjourn.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adjourn the September 2025 monthly meeting at 8:11 pm.
