Monday, July 14, 2025
Monthly Town Board Meeting
at 7:00 pm at Town Hall
All Items on the agenda are listed for discussion and possible motion

Present:  Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors, Becky Meyer, Kathy Schwartz, Brandon Wilmot

  1. Call Meeting to order at 7:00 pm with Pledge of Allegiance. Chair, Chad Allen Called the Meeting to order at 7:00 pm
  2. Certify Open Meetings Law has been met in accordance with §985.02(2)(a). Clerk, Becky Meyer Certify Open Meetings Law has been met in accordance with §985.02(2)(a) with being placed on the Town Website and on the Town Hall Door.
  3. Adopt Agenda.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the July 14, 2025 agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.
  4. Approve minutes from previous meeting.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve the minutes from the June 2025 meeting with a few adjustments.  Motion carried unanimously.
  5. Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes. No one spoke
  6. Richard Blakeslee to present a CSM located in SE 1/4  NW 1/4 of Section 17 T12N, R4E Town of Reedsburg, Sauk County.  Said parcel contains 39.84 acres and is subject to the right-of-way of Crosscut Drive and Coon Valley Drive.  Owners of property are Kevin & Kristin Hirst.  It divides tax parcel number 030-0659-00000 into two new Lots. The former Ann Zobel house Lot (Lot 1 of CSM No. 4318) will be absorbed by the new Lot 1. Surveyor Richard Blakeslee presented the CSM.  Gatlin Fenwick noted that this has been recommended for approval by the Plan Commission.  Motion by Connors / Klitzke to approve a CSM located in SE 1/4  NW 1/4 of Section 17 T12N, R4E Town of Reedsburg, Sauk County.  Said parcel contains 39.84 acres and is subject to the right-of-way of Crosscut Drive and Coon Valley Drive.  Owners of property are Kevin & Kristin Hirst.  It divides tax parcel number 030-0659-00000 into two new Lots.   7. Town Chair nominates Plan Commission Chairperson.  Town Board Chair, Chad Allen, nominates Julie Barreau as Plan Commission Chairperson for the 2025 – 2027 term.
  8. Plan Commission Chairperson nominates Plan Commission Secretary. Plan Commission Chair, Julie Barreau, nominates Rebecca Meyer as Plan Commission secretary for the 2025 2027 term.
  9. Highway Report - Brandon Wilmot
    1. Road Report – Two Culverts and Pulverization on Thieman Hill Rd is completed.  Scotts still need to black top it.  The Culverts on Herritz Rd that the County is replacing will begin next Monday, July 21.
    2. Driveway Permits – Decorah Farms LLC on Ski Hill Rd.
    3. Other comments – Will be attending the WISLR rating on Thursday, August 14th in De Forest.  The Pace mansion may be putting in concrete pillars within the road right away.
  10. Chairman / Supervisor Reports and comments
    1. Supervisor II - Terri Connors – For the record the Laukant notice has been delivered in the mailbox.  Also, noted that the weeds on Ski Hill and Old Loganville.
    2. Supervisor I - Rebecca Klitzke – For the record, the Soukup notice has been delivered in the mailbox.  More patrol will be on Golf Course Rd for semi traffic.
    3. Chair - Chad Allen – Met with new City Administrator and spoke about what is the plan for the future growth for the city that involves the Town of Reedsburg.  Bradley’s are requesting a guardrail on Grote Hill Rd. Janice Hill asked about the replacement of cow pass that goes under St Hwy . 23
  11. Town Clerk - Becky Meyer
    1. Assessor (Holloway Appraisal) Report - Nothing noted. 
    2. Building Inspector (GEC) Report.
      1. Max Buchner @ S2815 Horkan Rd – New Single-Family Residence
      2. Decorah Farms @ E6352 Ski Hill Rd – Rebuild 2 decks
      3. Joshua Phillippi @ S4718 Prairie View Dr – New Single-Family Residence

    3. Monthly Vouchers - AP QuickBooks reports were emailed.  Motion by Connors / Klitzke to pay the monthly vouchers. Motion carried unanimously. 
    4. Other comments – Dog listing notice,
  12. Treasures Report - Kathy Schwartz drafted a report for Becky
    1. Deposits (Checks and Cash)- $912.04 ($300 - hall rent, etc., $110 - Special Assessment letters, $193.04 - MFL, $50 – Drive Way Permit, $259 – Workman’s Comp Refund from Lichte Ins.). 
    2. ACH Deposits - $7,224.74 for 2% Dues, $27,374.17 for GTA.
    3. Review Calendar Dates
      1. Plan Commission - August 11, September 8, October 13 if there is anything for the agenda.
      2. Town Board - August 11, and September 8, October 13
      3. Hall Rentals (DOT & 4H Club).
    4. Other comments – Nothing
  13. Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting). Nothing
  14. Adjourn.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adjourn the July 2025 monthly meeting at 7:54 pm.
